Style

Slimmer in their design, the new series of Tecras are lighter than their predecessors and feature a dark black chassis with enhanced scratch resistance, making transport and mobility easier than ever.

Speed and performance are essential to any business. That’s why the A11 and S11 models are loaded with the latest Intel® Core™ i processors. With 1066MHz of RAM for the high performance chip, the system provides revolutionary performance for a portable unit. Plus, the addition of Intel® Hyperthreading and Turbo Boost Technology give the Tecra’s the ability to keep up with even the most demanding business tasks.

With Hyperthreading users enjoy enhanced multitasking thanks to the processors ability to execute multiple tasks through a single core. That means the Core™ i is able to double its workload to meet your needs.

Turbo Boost Technology, available in the i5 and i7 CPUs give the processor the ability to speed itself up over its nominal frequency. When you need power and speed to get the job done, the processor speeds up to keep you working smoothly. Conversely, when running few programs and applications, the processor slows to an idle mode, saving power.

In addition, the NVIDIA® graphics solution built into the S11 model gives you powerful, industry leading graphics, making these notebooks a legitimate desktop replacement.

Windows® 7 Professional

When it comes to functionality, the exciting news is that the Tecra A11 and S11 models are both preloaded with Windows® 7. Microsoft’s® approach was to build a system that ‘just worked’ and they have delivered. The result is a more intuitive operating system with fewer interruptions and timesaving features like anytime software updates. In addition, Windows® 7 features the new Internet Explorer 8 making for faster and more efficient web browsing.

With Windows® 7, users will notice a significantly improved battery life and, thanks to consumption independent from the number of open windows, the system uses less of your machine’s memory, allowing you to work faster.

If you’re happy with your current Windows® XP operating system, that’s ok too. With Windows® XP mode in Windows® 7, you can run your computer in the more familiar Windows® XP format. But, if you’d like to make the switch to Windows® 7, you have that option as well.
